So The Entrance, fitting really as it is the beginning or the entrance to my new life on the road. I have driven past this place many times and often spent a New Years Eve here as the 9pm fireworks blast with colour over the waterfront. It really is a place of beauty and I know the community is really trying to lift the profile of the area and increase tourism and business alike. On the waterfront Fridays at 3pm they have a pelican feeding display where wild pelicans arrive in plenty and are feed fish while a information spokes person tells the crowd all about the local birds.

I am staying at the Dunleith Tourist Park, just north of The Entrance bridge, it is very today and well appointed van park, Wayne the local groundsman and van hauler is very friendly and accommodating all in all a very nice park right on the water edge, so its easy to throw in a line or kayak and cruise the waterways and wildlife.

I will be looking forward to exploring more with my camera and getting some more images like the night shot attached. the image is shot at F 8 and 30 second exposure ISO 100. I wanted to see the water blurred and the reflections of the water come to life. This is the view from my van and is really a beautiful location at The Entrance of my journey as I set out to see all of Australia
